How to use My Sports Videos

📱Open the site

My Sports Videos works in the web browser on your phone, tablet or computer. There's nothing to install and no password.

1. Scan the QR code on the sign at the field: open your phone's camera, point it at the square code, and tap the link that pops up.
2. Or type the address into your browser: mysportsvideos.com
3. Put it on your home screen so it's one tap next time.iPhone: tap the Share button (a square with an arrow ⬆) at the bottom, then Add to Home Screen. Android: tap the three dots ⋮ at the top, then Add to Home screen.
4. To get back to the start from anywhere, tap the My Sports Videos logo at the top, or tap the menu ☰ and choose Home.

The short video at the start plays each time you open the site. Tap Skip if you've already seen it.

🔎Find your game

Every game has its own event code, like hellstarvsdale-k7q2. Your family or the coach can text it to you, or send you a link that opens the game directly.

1. On the home page, tap the box that says Enter event code.
2. Type the code. Capital or small letters both work.
3. Tap the green button 🔍 Find your game.
4. Next time it's waiting for you. Games you've opened show up under Your games on the home page, so just tap the game's name.

Got a link instead? Just tap it. It opens the game for you, no code needed.

▶️Watch the plays

Each game is split into plays. When several families filmed the same play, you can watch it from every angle.

1. To watch everything in a row, tap the green button ▶ Watch all plays near the top of the game page. Plays run one after another like a highlight show.
2. To watch one play, tap its picture in the list (Play 1, Play 2…).
3. Tap the ▶ on the video to play it. Tap the video again to pause.
4. To see it bigger, tap the full screen button ⛶ in the corner of the video. Turning your phone sideways helps too.
5. Use ‹ Previous play and Next play › at the bottom to move through the game.
6. Under Other angles, tap a picture to watch the same play filmed from another spot.
7. To go back to the whole game, tap ‹ Back to game at the top.

No sound? Turn up the volume, and on an iPhone check the small switch on the side isn't on silent.

🔥Cheer and share

Let the kids know you saw their big play, and send it to the rest of the family.

1. Under a play, tap one of the cheer buttons: 🔥 👏 💪. The most-cheered play becomes the game's Play of the Week 🏆.
2. To send a play to someone, tap the green button Share play.
3. Pick how to send it: Messages, email, Facebook, or any app on your phone. Some computers simply copy the link; then paste it into a text or email.
4. If the coach allows it, ⬇ Download saves the video to your phone or computer.

Whoever you send a play to can watch it without signing up.

🎯Spotlight your player

Put a glowing circle and a path line on your grandchild so everyone can follow them through the play.

1. Open the play and tap 🎯 Spotlight my player under the video.
2. Tap the big green button ⛶ Trace full screen. The video fills the screen. Turning the phone sideways makes it even bigger.
3. Put your finger on your player and keep it on them. The play runs in slow motion while your finger is down. Lift your finger any time to pause, then put it back to keep going.On a computer: hold the mouse button down and follow your player with the mouse.
4. When the play ends, the circle lines itself up on your player and the Route line shows the path they ran, from a white dot where they started to an arrow where they finished.
5. Tap Done to leave full screen. Pick a look if you like (Ring, Route, Glow, Spotlight or Name tag), and type a name like Mo #7.
6. Type your own name, then tap Save spotlight. Tap Share this spotlight to send it to family.

Made a mistake? Slide the bar at the top back to that moment and trace that part again, or tap Start over. Nothing is saved until you tap Save.

Use a first name or jersey number only, never a last name.

🎙️Call a play in The Booth

Turn a play into a TV moment. You give the idea, and an announcer voice calls it with big captions.

1. Under a play, tap 🎙️ Call this play in The Booth. (Or on the home page, tap The Booth: call a play and pick the game and play.)
2. Pick a style: Storyteller (calm build-up, then the big moment) or Hype (loud and fast).
3. In the small box, say what happened in a few words, like first carry of the season, ran it outside.
4. Tap ✨ Write it for me. The announcer's words appear. You can change any word you like.
5. Under How should it sound?, keep the AI announcer and choose a voice.
6. Tap ▶ Hear it on the play to listen to it over the video. Try a few voices until it sounds right.
7. Tap Send to the coach. When the coach puts it live, everyone hears it when they watch the play.

Want to use your own voice? Choose My own voice instead. The words scroll slowly like a teleprompter while you read them. Try the practice run first.

👥Join the team and send messages

Join your grandchild's team to get alerts when new plays are up and to chat with the other families.

1. Open the team link your family or the coach texted you. Or tap the menu ☰, choose My team, type the 6-letter join code (like K7Q2PX) and tap Next.
2. Tick the box next to your grandchild's name under Your player.
3. Under Who are you?, choose Someone else if you're a grandparent, and type your first name.
4. Tick I'm an adult (18+)… and tap Join the team.
5. To chat with everyone, stay on 💬 Team chat, type in the box that says Message the team and tap Send.
6. To message one family privately, tap ✉️ Direct and pick their name.
7. To get a buzz on your phone when new plays are posted, tap 🔔 Alerts and then Turn on phone alerts. Say Allow when your phone asks.

Your phone remembers you. Next time, open the site and tap the menu ☰ → My team.

⬆️Upload videos you filmed

If you filmed part of the game, add it so the whole family can watch every angle.

1. On the home page, tap Filmed a game? Upload your videos. (Or menu ☰ → Upload game videos.)
2. Type your team's name, tap your team, then tap the game you filmed.
3. Type your name and the Team upload code from your coach.
4. Tap Choose videos and pick the videos from your phone's photos. You can pick several at once.
5. Keep the page open until every video says it's done. Big videos can take a few minutes on Wi-Fi.

Interrupted? If the phone locks or the Wi-Fi drops, open the upload page again. It remembers the unfinished videos and offers to pick up where it left off.

Only film from the stands or the sideline, never on the field, and follow the filming guidelines.

🛡️Hide or remove a video

Any parent or guardian can hide a video of their child, right away, with no account needed.

1. Under the play, tap 🚩 Report or hide this video. (Or at the bottom of any page, tap Hide or remove my child.)
2. Choose what you'd like, for example Hide this video of my child or Remove every video of my child from this game.
3. Say how you're connected to the video, and how to spot your child, like #12 in white.
4. Tick the box confirming it's true, and send it. The video is hidden from the whole site right away.
5. Keep the status link it gives you. It shows when the coach has deleted it or made a decision (within 48 hours).

🧢For coaches

Set up your team once; families do the filming.

1. Tap + Set up your team on the home page, fill in the team details and season, and confirm your league allows families to film.
2. Write down your coach code (like ABCD-2345). It's how you sign in as the coach.
3. Add your roster on the ⚙️ Coach tab: each player's first name, last initial and number. Tick No video for any player whose family has opted out.
4. Load your schedule by typing it, pasting it, or adding a spreadsheet, PDF or photo of it.
5. Share the join code with families and the upload code with the people filming. The QR sign does the rest.
6. Check the ⚙️ Coach tab for Booth calls to approve and any video requests (decide within 48 hours).

❓If something isn't working

"We couldn't find that event code."

Check the spelling with whoever sent it, including the little dash. Or ask them to text you the game link instead.

The video won't start or keeps stopping.

Move closer to Wi-Fi, wait a moment, then tap ▶ again. Pulling down on the page reloads it.

I can't hear anything.

Turn up the volume, and check your phone isn't on silent.

The words are too small.

Use the A+ buttons at the top of this page, or spread two fingers apart on the screen to zoom in.

I was in the team chat but now it asks me to join again.

That happens on a new phone or browser. Open the team link again and join with the same name.

The circle slid off my player.

Use Trace full screen and keep your finger on them. Lifting your finger pauses the video so you can catch up.

I'm stuck.

Tap the My Sports Videos logo to start over from the home page. Nothing you've saved will be lost.
