Filming guidelines
Last updated October 28, 2026
Great videos come from great sidelines. These rules keep every kid safe and every family welcome.
Where to film
- Film from the stands, the sidelines and other spots open to fans.
- Never film in locker rooms, bathrooms or changing areas, or anywhere kids expect privacy.
- Follow your league's, school's and field's rules. If they don't allow filming or posting, don't upload.
What to film
- Film the game: plays, celebrations, teamwork.
- Skip injuries, kids being upset, arguments, and anything a kid would be embarrassed by.
- Don't zoom in on one child for long unless they're yours, or their family is fine with it.
- Opposing players: film the action, but never name or tag them.
What to add
- Use first names and jersey numbers only. Never last names, schools or other personal details.
- Keep notes and calls positive for every kid on the field.
- Only add music you have the rights to use.
If someone asks
If a parent asks you not to film or share their child, respect it. Anyone can ask us to hide or remove a video at Hide or remove my child, and coaches can remove any video from their games.
